Product Specifications
HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Inkjet printer allows you to Print, scan, copy, and fax. If you print dozens instead of hundreds of pages every week from home or a small office, the Officejet 6700 Premium is the printer for you. Text and images can be generated quickly. In particular, colored ink for high-yield cartridges is very inexpensive.
A USB cable, an Ethernet cable, or a wireless connection can all be used to hook it up. HP’s commercial software suite includes optical character recognition (OCR). The setup procedure is simple.
The main 2.65-inch color LCD touchscreen is surrounded by two touch controllers. Do not touch the power button. The OfficeJet 6700 Premium can print and scan directly from a USB connection.
The printer can print on both sides of a sheet of paper and has a 250-sheet input and 75-sheet output tray (most of its competitors have 100- or 150-sheet trays). The platen size of the flatbed scanner is only letter/A4, however, the 35-sheet automatic document feeder can handle legal-size documents (one side at a time). Telescoping scanner covers and automatic document feeder (ADF) hinges were not available (ADF).
It’s hard to beat the speed and value of the OfficeJet 6700 Premium printer. In plain text mode, the OfficeJet 6700 Premium could print on both a PC and a Mac at a rate of 10 pages per minute. Photos and color graphics might be reproduced rapidly. The scanning procedure was more time-consuming than usual.
Nonetheless, low-speed scans are attractive. The colors in the photo are vivid and clear. Basic settings on plain paper don’t produce very high-quality prints. The letters are a dark charcoal color with blurred corners. In a nutshell, orange photographs aren’t very descriptive. Having high-quality lettering and using colorful image paper is also helpful (and uses more ink). The draft mode is a good choice for speed and clarity.
There are four ink cartridges needed for this printer. Standard-capacity cartridges for this system cost more than high-capacity alternatives. In my opinion, paying $5 for 400 pages of black ink is too much at $20. To print a page in cyan, magenta, and yellow will set you back $11, or 3.3 cents. The cost of a full-color page, at 15 cents, is higher than average.
High-capacity cartridges are available. A black & white version with 1000 pages costs $32 (3.2 cents per page), while a color version with 825 pages costs $16. (1.9 cents per page). Thus, the price of a four-color page, normally 9 cents, is reduced. The price per text page is still $2.50, which is $1.00 more than the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer.
