HP ENVY 4512 is an All-in-One printer with high-quality scanning and copying features built in. This printer is the greatest strength is that it can print anything from the web once it’s connected to a WiFi network. When connected to a network, the front touch panel may be used to access the HP print application, which can then be used to order prints from a variety of other websites.
We’ll examine the ENVY 4512’s copying and scanning capabilities as well as its printing ones. This printer is capable of producing high-quality black-and-white and color copies with a resolution of 600 x 300 dpi. The ENVY 4512 can produce black-and-white prints at a rate of 20 pages per minute and color prints at a rate of 16 pages per minute. When we put it through its paces in the real world, however, we found that it was really far slower. A major complaint about the ENVY 4512 is that it prints slowly, which is a problem given the necessity of printing speed for urgent demands.
The ENVY 4512 has a print resolution of 4800 by 1200 dpi for color prints and 1200 by 1200 dpi for black-and-white prints. There is nothing special that can be printed with this resolution because it is not very high.
This printer has 588 color ink nozzles; cyan, magenta, and yellow combine for 328 of those ink nozzles. The latest generation replacement cartridge from HP, the HP 63 Cartridge is compatible with the ENVY 4512 printer. The print head has been cleverly integrated into the ink tank, allowing for more uniform ink distribution and better coverage. It also improved the stability and equilibrium of the ink. Because there are only 328 black nozzles, the print quality on black-and-white media is subpar at best. The degradation is particularly apparent in the inky black areas.
If you need a printer for home usage and just want to print occasionally (once a week or less), the ENVY 4512 is a smart choice to consider. It offers nothing really novel, and the print quality is only adequate at best. Luckily, it supports the 4512 and is rather cheap compared to other all-in-one printers. The ENVY 4512 is lacking an automated document feeder, which is a useful feature in many office environments.
